South Africa is the only country that has dismantled a nuclear weapons arsenal that it had created itself. Please join GSI president, Jonathan Granoff, this Friday, 24 March at 11am EDT when he will moderate an expert panel to discuss this remarkable, historical event.
Panelists include Ambassador David Steward, Chairman of the FW de Klerk Foundation; Ambassador Sérgio Duarte, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, President, Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, Former UN Under-Secretary-General for Disarmament Affairs, and GSI Advisory Board Member; Ambassador Thomas Graham, a senior principal negotiator for the United States in every single arms control and non-proliferation agreement from 1970 until 2000, including START treaties, SALT treaties, INF treaty, NPT, CTBT, and CWC, and Board of Directors GSI.

Jonathan Granoff Appointed New Permanent Observer for International Anti-Corruption Academy at the UN
|
|
|
|
The Permanent Observer for the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), Jonathan Granoff, presented his letter of appointment to UN Secretary-General António Guterres in December 2022, at UN Headquarters in New York City. Secretary-General Guterres and Permanent Observer Granoff met in private and during their substantive discussion, the Secretary-General expressed his appreciation and support for the mission of the IACA.
In addition, they shared the importance of effectively ending the illicit financial flows that drain resources needed to achieve the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals and international peace and security. Mr. Granoff thanked him for his leadership in working for greater multilateral cooperation and peace.
